Meet Venecia

Counselling that honours your story, your culture, and the strength it takes to start again

I'm Venecia, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) working with adults across BC, offering compassionate, culturally attuned support for Latino individuals. I came to Canada as a first-generation immigrant, raised in Venezuela with Costa Rican roots. I understand the challenges of adapting to a new country, navigating identity, and carrying the weight of family expectations and past traumas.

Together, we explore what makes you feel “stuck” — whether it's repetitive thinking, sleepless nights, past trauma, relationship challenges, difficulty concentrating, or feelings of isolation, guilt, grief, and sorrow. My approach honours your whole story and values — your culture, your strengths, and the parts of you that have carried pain quietly. I support your mind, body, and inner spirit with gentleness and care.

Above all, I want you to feel safe, comforted, and truly understood, with a space where you don't have to carry everything alone.

Sessions are offered in English and Spanish. You are accepted exactly as you are, on the hard days as much as the good ones.

Individual Counselling

Living between cultures can feel heavy — caring for family here and back home, raising kids in a new environment, or carrying pain from the past. It can feel lonely, heavy, and exhausting.

You may find yourself worrying about everyone else's needs, feeling the pressure of “shoulds,” and realizing there's little time left for you.

Therapy can be the place where you finally feel understood. Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.

You can schedule your appointment through my online calendar — pick a time that works for you and you're set. If you'd rather ask something first, the contact form below is always open.
